Carrie went to lunch and shopping with Melody in Grand Rapids today so Lyndsey came to the store with me all day. She didn’t get her nap, so tonight after dinner she went into our room and fell asleep on the floor. She was so tired. So cute.
Today we bought Lyndsey a potty. Two minutes after I brought it home and set it up she wanted to use it. Five minutes after sitting on it she yelled “I did it!”, I went into bathroom and there was #1 in it. So funny! Carrie and I laughed so hard, we couldn’t believe it.
Lynsdey got up and sang a few songs for the church (and did a little preaching too) at the Watch Night Service. ;) Our hearts were so blessed to see our daughter stand on the platform and so bravely sing to the church. She sang The B-I-B-L-E, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and I Love You, [...]
Carrie took Lyndsey sliding today for the first time using the sled Grandma got for her. She had a great time and showed no fear going down the hill.
We still have presents under our tree because we have not had Christmas with the Abbergers yet. Lyndsey has been wanting to open them real bad. This morning, while holding one of them and looking at me with those sweet “puppy dog” eyes, she asked; “Try?” (as in she wants to try to open it).
Lyndsey figured out that the 4′ present next to our Christmas tree is a doll house, and is now asking every hour on the hour to open it. The present was so large to wrap that Carrie left a portion of it unwrapped, but thought that by putting the exposed side to the wall behind [...]

The good news is Lyndsey is out of her “terrible two’s” now. The bad news is she is independent AND talking non-stop! Carrie and I have really noticed this past week that Lyndsey has exploded developmentally. She has really become more independent and much more talkative.
